About Me

Background: David Holman is from Maine and attended Carleton College in Minnesota, majoring in Latin American Studies and Environment and Technology Studies. His thesis was on Bolivian Microfinance's influence on Aymara and Quechua culture. He founded and operates The Spitting Llama Bookstore & Outfitter with wife Rommy Cornejo Holman in Bolivia.  David Co-authored the 2009 book Youth Renewing the Countryside and was also the lead photographer.

David began working as a photographer in 2005, inspired by his artistic background and an urge to explore. He specializes in wedding, portrait, culinary and documentary photography.

His photography has appeared in the Minnesota Cooks Calendar, The Minnesota Homegrown Cookbook, Color Lines Magazine, The Portland Phoenix, The Northfield News,  The USM Free Press, and other venues.
