Cloud Forest Bike Descent (1Day)

VERSION ESPAÑOL:
Estamos montando una excursion en bicicleta de montaña este domingo, 10 de
abril.

RUTA: Desayuno Gourmet 7AM en Cochabamba. Salida 8AM, 1 hora en transporte
privado hasta donde bajamos, montamos bicis, y entramos al
campo en caminos ripios, pasando flores y cultivos, hasta el cumbre de Yana
Cocha at 3800 metros (1.5 horas de plano y subida que caminamos en partes
dificiles). Comen almuerzo en la cumbre. Del cumbre entramos un lindo camino
sin autos por las altas montañas y bajamos hasta el bosque de nubes en
Chaparé. Se observe helechos gigantes, orchidias, bromeladias, y arboles
tropicales de todos tipos. Llegamos a las cascadas fascinantes de Inca Chaca
que exploramos por media hora. Bajamos a un criadero de trucha para comer
trucha fresca (costo no incluido). Volvemos en transporte privado
alrededor de 6PM.

ENGLISH VERSION:
We are going on a mountain bike excursion on Sunday, April 10th.

ITINERARY: Giant Gourmet breakfast at 7AM in Cochabamba.Departure at
8AM, 1 hour of transport to begin biking.  We go on dirt roads past
fields, flowers, and farmers, climbing gradually for 1.5 hours until
arriving at the Yana
Cocha mountain pass at 3800 metros. We walk the bikes on several
harder uphill sections. We ate a light lunch at the pass by 2 alpine
lakes. We then descend almost 2000 meters on a beautiful dirt road
with no vehicular traffic. We see giant ferns, orchids, bromelaids,
and ancient rainforest trees. We arrive at Incha Chaca, the site of an
ancient Incan hanging rope bridge (now replaced by a modern one),
Bolivia's first electrical plant, and gorgeous waterfalls and caverns.
After exploring Inca Chaca for half an hour we descend 10 min to a
trout farm where we eat a dinner of fresh trout (cost not included).
We return in private transport (aprox 2 hrs) arriving around 6PM.

tropical fruits, toast with jam and cream cheese, organic coca tea and
organic Bolivian coffee.
English and Spanish speaking guides.
