About Us : Summary

        Founded in January of 2007 by Rommy Cornejo Diaz and David Holman, The Spitting Llama Bookstore and Outfitter distributes Lonely Planet and other guidebooks in several languages, we sell literature in a variety of languages, and we specialize in Quechua books. Our foreign language book and map selection is the largest in Bolivia with over 2500 books and 50 maps to choose from.  We also sell a range of camping, biking and backpacking equipment along with maps, and camping accessories. We provide a sort of information clearing house that exists nowhere else in Bolivia. We have locations in Copacabana on the shores of the sacred lake Titicaca and in Cochabamba, the geographical center of Bolivia and its undisputed culinary capital. In January of 2008 the second Spitting Llama store opened in Copacabana serving travelers between Bolivia and Peru. With everything from GPS units, hiking boots and tents to Aymara poetry and English best sellers, we strive to help travelers both foreign and Bolivian to go not just far but deep.
